NRC contacted ControlSoft to replace the control panel PLC CPU controller and upgrade PLC ladder logic to the latest Omron PLC model available. The Model 506.62 is a Hydraulic Power System [HPS] uses a variable volume [pressure compensated] main pump with a pressurized supercharged hydraulic fluid inlet, to provide pressure to systems with various flow requirements.
Scope of work:
- Explore and arrange software tools to retrieve PLC ladder logic of a very old Omron PLC controller
- Establish PLC CPU communication between PC and old PLC CPU
- Retrieve original PLC ladder logic
- Selection of newer version of Omron PLC CPU and IO modules to match current control panel design
- Upgrade PLC ladder program to be used on new Omron CPU
- Reconfigure all IO tags to match original electrical controls
- Revised update electrical drawings
- Perform software FAT and IO testing with control hardware
- Site commissioning and testing.
